Student Hunger GETS Swiped Out

Swipe Out Hunger Webinar

Imagine heading into an 8 a.m. class, and the only food you’ve had in the last 24 hours was a couple of slices of pizza at a school-sponsored event. You’re tired and hungry and cannot concentrate on the morning’s lecture.

Hunger is a very real issue on college campuses. An estimated ONE OUT OF THREE of the nation’s student population is facing food insecurity. What can we do to end this epidemic?

Swipe Out Hunger, a nonprofit organization working to end college student hunger, and CBORD are joining forces to create an innovative way to donate unused meal credits for students in need.

View our on-demand webinar and hear from Rachel Sumekh, founder & CEO, and Tenille Metti Bowling, director of communications, of Swipe Out Hunger. Rachel and Tenille introduce Swipe Out Hunger’s mission and efforts on more than 85 higher education institutions across the nation.

Jeff Wood, vice president of product and marketing, and Rob Wakelee, product owner for GET CBORD Student, explain why these efforts are core to CBORD’s DREAMculture and how we’re creating technology to make meal donation programs easy and accessible to our partner campuses.
